What Has The Drug War Wrought

This is what happens when we call consentual consumtion a crime.  This man had his dog killed, and the police found only a small amount of marajuana (enough for a misdemenor charge) on him.  He was charged with child endangerment, and possesion.  Truly sad.

  1. Thank you Kenji, I couldn't have said it any better. The argument that we prevent a larger culture of crime is also rediculous, show me the culture of crime around legal drinking establishments post repeal of prohibition in the 30s…

Tearjerking. It's simply unrealistic to imagine this happened. Even ignoring the fact that his dog was killed by the police, sending a dozen armed policemen to raid someone's house for a small amount of some narcotic is outrageous. His personal rights were violated every way imaginable, and the emotional damage from this was no doubt worse than what it would have been from smoking that marijuana. How far is this from a total police state? Will our government eventually control everything about us? I'm an adult. If I choose to do something like this, big brother shouldn't come barging through my door, killing my dog to take it away from me.
