Hi everyone,

Here are more model e-mails in support of Obamacare nullification.  If you need help finding your State Legislator, you can look for them at this link http://www.leg.state.or.us/findlegsltr/  Just enter your zip code and all of your representation (both Federal and State) will come up.  The committee members you are trying to reach are on this post  http://oregon.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2011/03/obamacare-to-do-list/

It’s pretty self-explanatory.  Just fill in your name and paste into an e-mail, edit as you see fit, and send it to the committee members and your State Senator.  This will help out a lot!  Also if you have friends who may agree, send a copy to them to inspire them by your good example.

Distinguished Sir/Ma’am,

My name is insert your name here.  I am writing in support of Senate Bill 498, for the nullification of the 2010 Federal health care overhaul.  The Federal govt. says that this bill is in support of the “general welfare,” yet their actions give away the true nature of this sort of legislation.  If this bill is in support of the general welfare… why did Louisiana and Nebraska need to be bribed to take part?  What have the residents of those states done to deserve such preferrential treatment?

If this bill was truly for the “general welfare” of the nation, no such buyouts would be required to pass it.  Why has this bill been relentlessly promoted (like propaganda) by the govt. if it is so good for all.  Why has an entire state along with all the friends of the administration been given waivers so they don’t have to stay on the sinking ship with the rest of us?  This bill is clearly not in the general welfare of the nation because all of the nation is clamoring to escape it.

Please Nullify it by passing SB498.

Respectfully,

Distinguished Sir/Ma’am,

My name is insert your name here.  I am writing in support of Senate Bill 498, for the nullification of the 2010 Federal health care overhaul.  The 2000+ Federal health care overhaul was passed with less than half of the lawmakers having read it.  How could the average citizen have had time to read this monstrosity of a bill.  If we have not been able to read it (indeed, Rep. Conyers from Michigan remarked, when asked if he had read it, that it “…would take a team of constitutional lawyers to understand this bill.”  That being said, how can the average citizen be expected to understand this bill?

Given the common-law concept of “ignorance of the law is no excuse,” how can we be sure that we wouldn’t be breaking the law w/this bill?  Indeed, how can I even know if I am within the bounds of the law to question you in writing?  Making laws like this does no good for the public.  I submit that the best course Oregon could take as a state would be to nullify this act of anarchy by the Federal govt.  Please pass SB498.

Distinguished Sir/Ma’am,

My name is insert your name here.  I am writing in support of Senate Bill 498, for the nullification of the 2010 Federal health care overhaul.  By not including any actual cost savings in the Federal health care overhaul, the Federal govt. has doomed the country to high inflation in the medical sector for years to come! Because they have misdiagnosed the problem as a lack of insurance, they failed to address the underlying problem.

The word ‘insurance’ (when related to a service you use all the time, like food or health care) is a misnomer.  Insurance is for highly unlikely events like house fires or auto accidents.  The way we use it is more like prepaid health care rather than health insurance.  Because someone besides the consumer pays the final bill, the incentive to shop for a lower price and get the best value for the dollar is missing in the transaction.  The insurance company, of course, tries to reinsert it (by limiting coverage for certain elective procedures).   In general, the disconnect between consumer and payer has caused massive inflation in the price of health care because it creates unlimited demand for health care products and services.

The way to fix the program is not to create a new health care system with even less of a link between Consumer and Payer as the Federal health care overhaul did.  The way to fix this is to place the Consumer back in the role of Payer.  This can be done in a number of ways, all of which would include some sort of health care savings plan replacing the old third-party payer system. The consumer would be given a finite pool of health care dollars to spend within a high deductible insurance policy.  Because these dollars would roll over from year to year, the consumer could eventually save enough in this account to pay for the entire deductible for the occasional high-cost ‘problem.’  Switching all govt. care (over 50% of the market) over to such a model would probably be enough to restore competition, however, we must nullify the Federal health care overhaul… as this bill is counterproductive and destructive to our basic liberties.  Please pass SB498.

Thank You,

Distinguished Sir/Ma’am,

My name is insert your name here.  I am writing in support of Senate Bill 498, for the nullification of the 2010 Federal health care overhaul. The Federal health care overhaul places in govt. hands the control over my health care options. It places no real limits on costs and creates boards which will ration care. The only possible methodology for who gets what care would be based upon how long an individual has left to pay taxes, for the govt. to recoup the cost of the medical care they are providing.  I believe that an individual should never be forced (by law) to accept – what in essence will be – charity from his fellow citizens.  I also believe that placing control of our health care into the hands of the government can only end badly.  I would encourage the govt. of Oregon to nullify Obamacare.  Please pass SB498.

Distinguished Sir/Ma’am,

My name is insert your name here.  I am writing in support of Senate Bill 498, for the nullification of the 2010 Federal health care overhaul.  The Constitution defines the scope of federal authority.  When govt. believes that there is no limit to their authority, then the Constitution is of no protection to any rights, whatsoever.  I believe (as did James Madison) that in the case of the Federal govt., exercising unconstitutional authorities… “the states who are parties thereto” (to the Constitution) “have the right and are in duty bound to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them.”  Therefore, I encourage the nullification of “Obamacare” (emphasis added).  Please pass SB498.

I believe these letters have a chance at influencing our State lawmakers to rise up and resume the mantel of leadership.  Limiting the Federal govt. is a weighty task, and the only thing we know for certain is that doing nothing is sure to result in exactly the same thing as we have been getting from D.C. (more govt.)

I would encourage everyone to send more than one of these emails.
